Zozibini Tunzi, Kolisi to grace Sona

    CAPE TOWN – Zozibini Tunzi and Siya Kolisi will be some of the dignitaries attending the state of the nation address in Parliament on Thursday.

    The reigning Miss Universe and the man who captained South Africa to their third Rugby World Cup triumph have been confirmed as guests at the prestigious joint sitting of Parliament when President Cyril Ramaphosa tables government’s plans for the year.

    Over 2000 guests who will grace the event include former presidents Thabo Mbeki, Kgalema Motlanthe and FW De Klerk, former National Assembly speaker Baleka Mbete, UN Women SA Representative Anne Githuku-Shongwe, Father Smangaliso Mkhatshwa and struggle stalwart Andrew Mlangeni.

    This year’s imbongi is 19-year-old Masingita Shibambu, known as Ntombhi Ya Mutsonga, from Matiyani Village in Malumele in Limpopo.

    Ramaphosa will take to the podium at 7pm.
