Union to take govt to court over schools reopening

JOHANNESBURG – The Educators Union of South Africa (Eusa) is taking the government to court.

Eusa wants to stop schools reopening for Grade 7 and 12 pupils next week.

The union represents over 27,000 teachers.

Eusa says Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga and her department misled the public about supplying personal protective equipment and guaranteeing the safety of pupils and teachers.
