The Steyn City Foundation marked Mandela Month with the distribution of soup and bread to residents of Diepsloot.
Steyn City Properties CEO Giuseppe Plumari explained that although Steyn City remains conscious of the welfare of its neighbors, the Foundation was unable to undertake its usual activities on Mandela Day, 18 July, this year due to the unrest in the country. “Our planned activities had to be put on hold until the local community police of Diepsloot gave us the go-ahead,” Plumari says.
As soon as approval had been received, the Foundation distributed 5 000 loaves of bread and soup packs into the community to hopefully assist families and feed hungry mouths. We continue to support our neighboring community where possible.
