JOHANNESBURG – Eskom will implement Stage 2 load-shedding from 9am until 6am on Monday morning.
The power utility says this is due to system constraints and depleting emergency resources.
“In addition, we are taking out three big units for planned maintenance,” Eskom said in a statement.
Eskom says it’s been forced to use diesel generators, as power systems are under pressure.”We apologise to South Africans for the negative impact this may have on them,” the statement read.
“We want to assure the nation that critical maintenance is being done to units on planned outages as well as some of those on unplanned outages to ensure their timeous return to service.”
