Lesiba Jacob aka “Ljay MusiKa” as known on stage is a soulful neosoul/ hip-hop singer/guitarist /songwriter & producer from Cosmo city, who’s passionate about his work and perfectionist in his work. Speaking to Township News, said he mostly does Neosoul/Rnb/Hip-hop and afro soul/pop and that his music is diverse in terms of the instruments he plays in studio. He further went to say that his love for arts and music started back home in Limpopo when he joined his brother’s boys choir and other extra-mural activities at school.
It wasn’t far off the age of 10 that he started flourishing in this craft with performances in Taxi ranks, Malls and that’s where the nurturing part of his career took flight. He then joined a local music band and was introduced to live music, which Played a big part of his life in terms of production and performances. “I Define music as therapy and I take it as my oath as an artist to spread this therapy to the masses”.Since the start of his music career, Ljay MusiKa has done progressive features with some of South Africa’s phenomenal artist; he worked with the likes of Ayanda Jiya, Shota, Lebo Sekgobela, Dindy as a guitarist. He also co-produced a song for Bothlale from (Idols), where he sung a verse on and the song played on Radio stations across the country. The artist is looking to release a single titled “Shake Shake” by the end of October that he produced alongside his team ‘’The dudes under oath.’’
Ljay MusiKa said he would like see himself travelling the world to spread the love and message he has in music and do even more progressive features with well known artists in South Africa. Being an artist/musician on a full time, he met all sorts of challenges from sleeping in the street to sleeping on an empty just to get the dream going.
