Mamelodi Sundowns Leading Soccer Development in Diepsloot.


Since the start of his journey in 2013,Head Coach of Mamelodi Sundown Satellite Diepsloot- Skipper Motloutsi former Ria Stars Middle fielder, as well as Sundown Junior team, has together with Mamelodi Sundowns launched the soccer development in the Township. Skipper has and is still playing a significant role in developing the careers and the potential of young soccer players in Diepsloot. To date he has 15 trophies including league under -14 team, crowned champions of The Nelson Mandela League and under 17 winning the league without a loss or a draw in the 2019 seasonal games.In September 14 he won the Chapman Soccer Tournament with the Under-13 team lashing Rosina Sedibane (Laudiam 1-0).

In the interview with Skipper he said:

“I so far can see the ripple effects of my skills in the lives of my players, as I can witness the progress of Katlego Killer Letuka top goal scorer in Diepsloot with 17 Goals in Diepsloot string and currently he plays for Sundowns Academy under the guidance of Joel Fire Maselela. Killer was selected for S.A National team under -17 and he is the first player from Diepsloot to be selected on the National Team U-17;

Tlotlisi Lefty Ndziwa (18) he is the Captain of Sundowns Development Under -19 and there are very high possibilities that he will join MDC (Multichoice Diski Challenge)

Centre back -Thabang Kekana with the magic touches, he is being groomed under the leadership of Michael Manzini.

Left Back- Msizi Ndlovu has shown great development thus far and my dream as a coach is to continue celebrating the development of soccer in our communities because it is an extramural activity that will keep our young stars away from gangs, drugs, peer pressure and alcohol abuse. Let’s teach and guide our children into the right route, so that they can be masters of their own destiny,” Skipper concluded.
