JOHANNESBURG – Stage 4 load-shedding will continue until Friday evening.
Eskom says it will then implement lower stages for the weekend.
Electricity demand is said to be less on weekends.
The utility is also expecting some of its generation units to return to service. Eskom, however, warns that changes to the load-shedding stages may apply at short notice.
Eskom implemented Stage 4 load-shedding earlier this week after its Koeberg Unit tripped.
The unit is expected to be back on the grid on Saturday. South Africans are urged to continue using electricity sparingly.
