The Diepsloot OR-Tambo health facility will soon be starting 24hr casualty from the first of November 2020.The residents of Diepsloot and the surrounding communities will now be getting help in case of emergency, we have worked hard collectively to ensure that Diepsloot has a casualty we started with a Mertenity unit which assist pregnant women to give birth and that service is available 24hr.The home Affairs is also providing services for women who have delivered babies at the health facility we have been to get this service after we have had numerous meetings with the department of home Affairs and we then reached to an agreement that the services should be given for only those who have little ones due to lack of sufficient space to render this service to the people of Diepsloot. The other thing that which we can be mentioned is that we have been able to get ambulance services closer to the people of Diepsloot after years without this service. We are now in the process of making sure that there’s forensic services closer to the people of Diepsloot. However, we are looking at various ways to make sure that eye test service is also available only if the space is sufficient for those who need it.The dentist service is also being rendered, however, we are looking at other options to have this service permanent only if the enough space can be available. The leadership of Diepsloot as a whole should be proud of this achievement. Now is in the hands of the people of Diepsloot to use the services but not to misuse them. This doesn’t mean we will not experience challenges it means challenges will always be there ,and we will still need to work together to get solutions. The leadership and community members are now in the position of making sure that they procted and safe guard what they have for future generations. The casualty will deal with emergency cases only.We would like to thank the leadership and the community for the support that they always give us.End……….Issued Sicelo Shezi Health and Social Development.072 68 99921.
