Diepsloot trio slapped with Years in prison for murder, robbery, and assault

A Diepsloot trio, who allegedly stabbed one man to death in 2019, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. The trio recently appeared before Randburg Magistrates’ Court facing charges of murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. David Miocho (24), Bigboy Xithangu (21), and Mthokozeleni Msiya (19) allegedly stabbed a 33-year-old man to death in Diepsloot’s extension 10 on 2 June 2019.

The suspects also allegedly assaulted and robbed the victim of his cellphone, according to Diepsloot police. They were subsequently arrested on the same day after being pointed out by eyewitnesses. Upon receiving the docket for further investigation, Detective Constable Thabo Sithole and his team rolled up their sleeves and pulled out all the stops to secure a successful conviction. Constable Sithole, one of the high-flyers at the Diepsloot detective unit, left no stone unturned during the investigations
resulting in building a watertight case.
