Diepsloot Police’s dedication and determination to clamp down on proliferation of illegal firearms in the community continue to bear fruit. On Wednesday morning, 03 June 2020, members arrested two suspects, aged 24 and 30, on separate locations for possession of unlicensed firearms and live ammunition.
Two weeks ago, another two illegal firearms were recovered, which makes it four recovery of illegal firearms in a space of three weeks.
These successes would not have been possible without the assistance of community members who continue to provide the police with tip-offs. We urge the community to continue playing an active role in the fight against crime by reporting all criminal activities to the police.
Diepsloot station commander, Brigadier Koena Moichela, commended the members for their hard work and encouraged them to continue clamping down on crime in the community.
Report all criminal activities at your nearest police station or crime stop number on 08600 10111.
