On Thursday 17 September 2020 at about 14:00, members of Roodepoort K9 arrested a 29-year-old suspect after he was found in possession of a suspected stolen motorbike, in Diepsloot extension 6.
The police were activated by a car-tracking company to be on the lookout for a stolen motorbike, which was said to be in the Diepsloot area.
Members acted swiftly on the information and proceeded to the location as provided by the car-tracking company. On arrival, they found an African male in possession of a motorbike that matched the description given by the car-tracking company.
When asked about the motorbike, the suspect allegedly claimed that he was borrowed by a friend, but could not tell the officers where his friend stays. He was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of suspected stolen motorbike and is due to appear in the Randburg magistrates court on Monday.
