Nteseng Chuene, a mother of three staying in Lanseria- is one of Mrs Tammy Taylor semifinalists, with a soft heart to serve underprivileged communities and empower disadvantaged women. She told Township News that she was more than happy to be one of the contestants and that she believes she has what it takes to make it to the finals.

“What I like is that this is not a beauty pageant in the traditional sense of, I was once not taken as a right candidate to be part of beauty pageant because I am a short person by nature. However, when it comes to Mrs SA, height does not matter and I am very grateful to be participating in this pageant.’’

Mrs South Africa (Pty) Ltd is the number one pageant and female empowerment program for married women in South Africa, under the guidance of well-known businesswoman and entrepreneur, CEO Joani Johnson. Mrs South Africa is truly a life-changing journey for the women who enter this renowned empowerment program, it is, therefore, important to get disadvantaged women uplifted. Mrs South Africa delegates are between the ages of 25-49 years of age and are mature, driven, ambitious and most of all real, relatable women who strive to be the best versions of themselves.

Nteseng serves as a Director of Costing the Law, a proudly 90% female operated business which has been in existence for 8 years and she is also a co-owner, in partnership with her husband of Kings Hotel & Gallery. “The opening of the hotel served as a blessing to us as we birthed the campaign called #FutureKingsFutureQueens. Under this campaign, we house and mentor underprivileged kids for a brief period in efforts of giving them guidance as I believe that ‘Leojwa le sa le meetsi’, meaning that If we raise a child right, we won’t have to fix an adult.’’
