An aspiring model from Diepsloot

19 years old teenage girl, Gomolemo Sedumedi from Diepsloot currently doing her second year in Bcom Industrial Psychology at the University of Johannesburg is set to become an aspiring model. She’s very much passionate about modeling and has been entering Community beauty pageants from a very young age. In 2018 she won her first princess title for Miss Phenomenal Teen SA.

Gomolemo is currently in the semi-finals for the Miss Teenager SA 2019, and speaking to her she said it has not been easy for her to be in the semi-finals, because she auditioned in Pretoria and did not make the cut and when she heard that they were doing second auditions in Johannesburg, she went to audition again and made it through to the semi-final stage.

‘’The journey has been amazing because it challenges you to get out of your comfort zone and gave me an opportunity to learn more about the modeling industry,’’ she said. She’s currently part of the Sedumedi Hope Foundation whereby they go around Townships raising awareness about cancer and she also visits Charity homes in Zandspruit as part of her giving back to Communities.

Gomolemo said winning the MTSA 2019 title will be a big honor for her and will prove that hard work does pays. ‘’Even if don’t take the title, I’m still a winner for being this far and I will take all that I have learned and use them going forward in my modeling career. I’m also planning on entering more beauty pageants, including the Miss South Africa Pageant.’’

In conclusion, she said everyone can live their dream, and they should never let their background hold them back. Always remain true to who they are and never compare themselves to others instead learn from them on how they got to make it where they are. Lastly, she said prayers get her through most difficult days. To vote for her, SMS ‘’MTSA GOMO’’ to 47439 and voting closes on 21 April 2019.
