On Thursday night 13 August 2020, Crime Prevention members were conducting patrols when they received information on two male suspects who are alleged to be responsible for a spate of house robberies in Diepsloot.
Members acted on the information and proceeded to the suspects’ residential address in extension 4. On arrival they searched the place and found three Plasma TVs, a generator and two cellphones.
The suspects, aged 23 and 24, could not produce proof of purchase of the items when asked by the police. They were arrested and charged with possession of suspected stolen property.
The acting station commander, Matome Colonel Mohale commended the members’ efforts in arresting suspects that seem to match the description of suspects who are alleged to be terrorizing the community at night.
Suspects will appear in the Randburg magistrates court on Monday.
